Palm Tree Music Festival returns to Aspen on February 19–20, 2027 for its fifth year, with The Chainsmokers and Under Construction (FISHER and Chris Lake) headlining two nights of music & beats in the snow. The 2025 and 2026 editions both sold out, so expect a packed town.

The music is the easy part. Getting there is the hard part: there’s no parking at the venue, Independence Pass is closed in winter, and thousands of fans are leaving downtown Aspen at the same time after dark. This guide covers the dates, lineup, tickets and parking, plus the easiest way to get to the festival and back from Vail, Denver or the airport.

  • The Chainsmokers (headliner)
  • The Martinez Brothers (special guest)
  • Disco Lines
  • Chloé Caillet

The Chainsmokers return to Aspen, and Under Construction is a rare joint session from two of the biggest names in house music. Expect a mix of big-room singalongs on Friday and nonstop beats on Saturday.

Tickets: GA, VIP and the Palm Club

Tickets are sold only through Front Gate Tickets, linked from the official festival site. General sale opened October 1, 2026, and all sales are final. Buy only from the official link, since sold-out festivals attract resale scams.

  • General Admission: access to all sets, food and drink vendors. The GA area is on the snow closest to the stage.
  • VIP: a dedicated entrance, front-row viewing off the snow, a heated lounge with stage views, complimentary food and select drinks.
  • Palm Club: private heated, covered tables for 8–10 guests with a VIP host, bottle service and Nobu cuisine from Matsuhisa and Yuki Aspen. 21+ only.
  • Ski Pass Add-On: discounted lift tickets good at all four Aspen Snowmass mountains.

Wristbands ship ahead of time to US addresses. International buyers pick theirs up at the box office by the West Entrance.

Parking at Palm Tree Festival Aspen

There is no festival parking at Rio Grande Park. The organizers point attendees to the City of Aspen’s free shuttles instead.

The closest public option is the Rio Grande Parking Garage on Rio Grande Place, a covered garage just off Main Street. On a sold-out festival weekend in peak ski season, though, downtown parking fills quickly, and the garage has a low height clearance that Sprinter vans and roof boxes won’t fit under. Check the City of Aspen’s parking page for current rates before you drive in.

The bottom line: if you’re coming from outside Aspen, driving yourself means hunting for parking on the way in and driving icy roads late at night on the way out. A drop-off at the venue avoids both.

Getting to Aspen for the festival

In winter, Independence Pass (Highway 82 over the Divide) is closed. Every drive from Vail or Denver goes the long way: west on I-70 to Glenwood Springs, then southeast on Highway 82 through the Roaring Fork Valley.

Starting from Winter route Typical drive time*
Vail / Beaver Creek I-70 W → Glenwood Springs → Hwy 82 About 2–2.5 hours
Eagle County Airport (EGE) I-70 W → Glenwood Springs → Hwy 82 About 1.5–2 hours
Denver / DEN I-70 W over Vail Pass → Glenwood → Hwy 82 About 4 hours or more
Aspen Airport (ASE) Hwy 82 into town About 10–15 minutes

*Times are approximate. Winter storms, chain-law closures and I-70 traffic can add hours, especially on a Friday heading west.

Flying in? Aspen’s own airport (ASE) is only a few miles from the venue, but flights fill up fast and get canceled in bad weather. Many fans fly into Eagle (EGE) or Denver (DEN) instead and book ground transportation for the rest of the trip, which is exactly where VIP Ground comes in.

Why book private transportation for Palm Tree Festival

  • Drop-off at the venue. No parking hunt, no shuttle line, no walking in the cold from a distant lot. You have a vehicle with you as directed.
  • Nobody drives home after the show. The festival ends late at night, and the drive back to Vail or Glenwood follows dark, icy mountain highways. Our chauffeurs drive these roads all winter long.
  • Your whole crew in one vehicle. VIP Ground’s Sprinter vans seat up to 14 passengers. Everyone arrives and leaves together.
  • We wait for you. Your driver is staged for pickup when the last set ends, so you’re not refreshing a rideshare app while thousands of people do the same, and any belongings you cant bring in the festival you can safely leave in the vehicle.
  • Airport to festival, door to door. Land at EGE or DEN and go straight to your Aspen lodging or the festival gates, with room for luggage and ski gear.
  • Make it a weekend. Book a multi-day package covering the airport transfer, both festival nights, and the Belly Up after-shows or dinner in town.

Festival tips: surviving a winter show in the Rockies

  • Dress for snow. GA is on the snow, so wear waterproof boots, a warm jacket, gloves and a beanie. It gets colder fast once the sun drops behind the mountains.
  • Respect the altitude. Aspen sits near 8,000 feet. Drink water, pace the cocktails and eat before the gates open.
  • Arrive early. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and the best spots go fast. Getting there early also beats the downtown traffic.
  • Go cashless. Load a card or phone wallet; the venue doesn’t take cash.
  • Plan your exit before you enter. Know exactly where your ride is meeting you so you’re not stuck in the post-show crush.
  • Book everything early. With both recent years sold out, Aspen lodging, dinner reservations and transportation fill up weeks ahead.
